The Story:
7 days before the launch of Windows 7 at 7:00pm, Microsoft contacted Quintica Kenya to be the only invited on stage guest at the October 28 launch event in Kenya. Microsoft staff and most of the business community in Nairobi are aware that Quintica has built something special. Fusion is the name given to the hosted and managed service centre of Quintica Kenya and Quintica is running the latest Microsoft products from this facility.
We were asked to specifically talk about the business benefits of and demonstrate the features of Microsoft Hyper-V R2. This may sound like secret code, but in reality Hyper-V is what allows organisations like Quintica to deliver hosted services at a fraction of the price than they could do it themselves. Services like email, laptop backup and other secure and encrypted data services. Virtualisation is to be the new wave of service delivery for organizations and many business people have already established the best model is outsourcing.
Quintica was invited by Microsoft to talk about this new age platform and in front of a crowd of several hundred, our Technical specialist – Sacha Narinx – explained the fact that businesses no longer have the time, budget, skills or desire to implement new wave products that deliver business benefits. They want to get access to these services quickly and at a low operational cost. This is where Quintica – with its data centre facility in Nairobi is able to assist.
The event was very well received and Quintica would like to give a special thanks to the entire team at Microsoft Kenya for a very well organized event and for the opportunity to participate. |
